What To Expect in Your Sessions

Sessions typically last 60 minutes and on a regular weekly or biweekly basis. The exact frequency and timeline of sessions depends on you and your needs and may change over time.

During this time, you are invited to speak freely about whatever feels important — current challenges, relationships, memories, dreams, or emotions that arise in your day-to-day life. There is no expectation to have everything clearly formulated; therapy is a space where thoughts and feelings can unfold naturally.

As we work together, we may explore recurring patterns in your relationships, emotional responses, and ways of coping. Sometimes these patterns are connected to earlier life experiences that continue to influence how you experience yourself and others today. Bringing these patterns into awareness can create new possibilities for understanding and change.

The therapeutic relationship itself is an important part of the process. It offers a safe, confidential environment where feelings, concerns, and experiences can be explored openly and thoughtfully.

Psychodynamic therapy is often a gradual process. Over time, many people find that it helps them develop a deeper understanding of themselves, improve relationships, and feel more emotionally grounded and flexible in their lives.
